After losing the first match against Delhi in Super over, Kings played their second match against RCB on Thursday. Kings XI Punjab batsman KL Rahul, opening the innings against Royal Challengers Bangalore, scored the first century of season 13 of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
KL Rahul Hits Second IPL Hundred
He scored unbeaten 132 in just 69 balls and took Kings to a huge total of 206/3 in 20 overs. This is the highest score by an Indian in IPL history and the highest score by an IPL captain. He also became the fastest Indian to complete 2000 runs in the IPL and took only 60 innings to reach the milestone. The record was previously held by master blaster Sachin Tendulkar, who achieved the same milestone in 63 innings.
